At the beginning of the year, a new Yeshiva, which is a branch of Yeshiva Shavei Hevron, was established in Yokneam.
The Yeshiva was founded based on the understanding that there is a great thirst for Torah in the North.

After great efforts to find a place with significant need, the conclusion was reached that Yokneam would be the best place to establish the new Yeshiva.  In reality, it has become clear that the need is greater than was realized and the joy in the founding of the Yeshiva is even greater than expected. Those who enter the Beit Midrash are amazed by the energy and vigor that characterizes the Bachurei Yeshiva, who are diligently learning with great joy and deep comradery.

It is hard to imagine that only five months ago there was a Beit Knesset, which was struggling to complete a minyan for prayer on Shabbat evenings and in its place today, there are about 50 students (including married students) sit and learn in the Beit Midrash.

The Voice of Torah in Our Land has also reached the city of Yokneam!
